What to have ready
A faster pre-approval depends on having a few things in front of you when you call:
- Income: most recent two pay stubs, plus last two years of W-2 or full tax returns if self-employed.
- Assets: most recent two months of statements for any account you would use for down payment or closing costs.
- Credit: a rough self-estimate is enough; we'll pull a soft credit check before any hard inquiry.
- Property: address if you have one in mind, or budget if you're shopping.
